Organizers have officially announced that the 90th annual Sun Bowl Parade, set for November 2026, will adopt the theme “Famous Sports & Movie Scenes,” promising a nostalgic spectacle that blends Hollywood blockbusters with legendary moments from the playing field.

The milestone parade will also feature a newly named grand marshal, though details on the individual’s identity were revealed alongside an extension of the event’s planning timeline. The theme aims to transform the downtown El Paso route into a living storyboard, with floats, marching bands, and performers recreating iconic imagery—from the dramatic finish of “Rocky” to the high-flying action of “Top Gun” or the underdog triumphs of classic sports films.
