Boston Bruins legend Patrice Bergeron was officially elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame on Monday, earning a spot in the 2026 induction class. The announcement cements the legacy of one of the most complete two-way forwards in NHL history.

Bergeron spent his entire 19-season career with the Bruins, becoming the face of the franchise and a six-time winner of the Selke Trophy, awarded to the league's best defensive forward. His leadership was instrumental in Boston's 2011 Stanley Cup championship, and he captained the team to another Final appearance in 2013 and 2019. Known for his relentless work ethic, faceoff dominance, and hockey IQ, Bergeron retired in 2023 with 1,040 points in 1,294 regular-season games.

The 38-year-old Canadian center also represented his country with distinction, winning Olympic gold medals in 2010 and 2014. His induction in his first year of eligibility was widely expected, given his reputation as a player who defined excellence at both ends of the ice.
